[EnergyPlus_Support] Internal Thermal Mass

I am specifying furniture inside my thermal zones.  I know the total weight 
per each zone but I need to estimate the total exposed surface area of this 
furniture.  Does any one know of a general estimate to use of furniture 
exposed surface area for a certain weight or maybe some study that covers this 
material.
