RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] parametric runs
Although not exactly a "fast and efficient" tool, one option is to use EpMacro that is distributed with EnergyPlus to generate the input files. This is the same macro processing "language" as is in DOE2 and it works by substituting variables or blocks of code. You can use a single *.imf file to produce a number of variations in the *.idf. It isn't all that difficult to use DOS batch files to manage multiple runs (see other news group posts). I prefer to keep seperate runs in seperate directories.

can anyone suggest a fast and efficient way of doing parametric runs in energyplus? is there a way of using the same file for all these runs or do they have to be saved under different names in the project folder?
