[EnergyPlus_Support] Ground source heat pump
Dear all,
I am going to model a hotel building with DHW supply. The proposed
system is a electric water cooled chiller with cooling tower for
cooling plant. Whereas, in the heating/hot water plant, heat pump
(not using heat recovery chiller) would draw heat from the
condensing water system and condensing boiler would be used for
supporting the remain heating water demand.
My problems are:
1. Can GSHP be used in this case by replacing the ground source heat
exchanger by cooling tower?
2. Can i model the GSHP with heating mode only?
3. Can GSHP draw heat from condenser loop (With the heat rejected
from water cooled chiller)?
4. Does anybody have example of such system?
5. Finally, how can i set the operating scheme if i want to use heat
pump to provide hot water as the required demand, but boiler would
be on if the rejected heat and heat pump do not able to supply the
heating demand.
Regards,
Ernest Tsang
