[EnergyPlus_Support] Output files

Dear All,
I am simulating fiveZonDXVAV (with gas reheat)  building. I want to calculate the energy consumption by the building for the runperiod. I selected form the variable report all key values for the following vairables:
     1- Lights-Electric Consumption
     2- Heating Coil Gas Consumption
     3- DX Cooling coil electric consumption
     4- Fan Electric consumption
I add them up to calculate the total energy consumption by the building. However, for the same file i asked for reporting by ReportMeter for the following variables(all key value been slected):
     1- Elecricity
     2- Heating gas
     
I add the result up to find the total energy consumption and compare it with the privous results. I got total energy conumption value from the second run higher than the first run. 
 Can any one help me kowing whic the proper way of calculating the total energy consumption in a building.
