No not really, but it isn't too hard to add the extra zones for the new spaces created by these types of surfaces.  If you want to eventually model supply or return plenums then you will really need the extra zone(s).    
 
If you don't want to add zone(s), then just ignore the fact that there are these extra surfaces.  But be aware that there could be big differences in how the thermal mass in the floor slab interacts with the occupied zone.
