The "old" way we would circumvent this kind of error would be to make 
a wall construction that was multiple of the "almost too thick" 
structures.  You would have to decide if the numbers you were getting 
that way were appropriate.

I assume you don't mean 6 hr time steps but 6 timesteps per hour.
