[EnergyPlus_Support] Roof Shading

Dear,
   In my building model,there is shading for roof.For the configuration 
of the roof in e+,the roof has been divided to several parts.The shading
divice cover more than one parts.I define the roof shading as 
surface:shading:attached.Its Base Surface Name is one of the coverd 
roof.(reasonable?)
   I simulate and it completed successful.But when i compare the 
results between the models which has roof shading and has no roof 
shading,i found the results have no changes at all.It puzzled me.
   Is it impossible to add a shading to the roof?
