[EnergyPlus_Support] Convection from waffled ceiling soffits

Hello

I am trying to implement a waffled, exposed concrete, soffit in energyplus.
I would like to see what effect the additional surface area might 
have on the performance of its thermal mass.
What would be the best way to implement this in energyplus?
