[EnergyPlus_Support] WaterToWater Heat Pump

Hi all, 

Does anyone have a working example file of the
HeatPump:WaterToWater:ParameterEstimation:Heating object (I'm taking a
look at a file I found in the examples section, but I'm not sure if
this is an example file or a problem file, it was uploaded by `pch')?
Does anyone know of a paper (conference or journal) documenting the
use of these heat pumps in EnergyPlus? 


Also, do you need the CONNECTION COMPONENT:PLANT LOOP whenever you use
a water:heater object or you are tying two plant loops together. For
instance, I want to use two water heater objects in order to emulate
the performance of a heat exchanger, but I am wondering should I use
this object too?
