preEN ISO 15927-1:2002(E) Annex A provides
guidelines for splitting global irradiance into
components of direct and diffuse
irradiance. There are additional algorithms
described by Duffie and Beckman in their Solar
Engineering of Thermal Processes book. These may help you.
