[EnergyPlus_Support] Roof space with tin roof as a return air plenum

Hi everyone,

Can anyone advise me of any regulation (ASHRAE/ANSI/SMACNA) or 
publication preventing the use of roof space with an insulated tin 
roof as a return air plenum.
