There are different ways to model natural ventilation.  The
"Ventilation" object is probably the simplest and a good place to start.
You don't have to do anything special with the surfaces; the simulation
can exchange air between the zone and outdoors without any explicit
pathway for the flow.  

 

The Airflow Network System is more sophisticated/complicated alternative
that allows you to associate various types of openings with surfaces and
subsurfaces and link them up in a multizone pressure network.

I really hope someone can help me:
In my simulation I need to take into acount the
effects of natural ventilation in a room. How can I
define just the space where the air will flow, I mean
the aperture of the window? Can I define a "hole" or
"aperture", I don't know how to say it, as a type of
subsurface on a base surface?
