[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Window AC or Unitary

Many thanks to Mike. The shortcuts to v2-0-0 including the ExampleFiles.xls
are now working.

I shall work on the Coils later, after this experiment on the heat transfer
of the building envelop is completed.

I got the weather data for the 19th to 22nd April experiment for Kuching
Airport from the Met office here in Malaysia.

1 (a) The radiation was given to me as milliJoules per meter square. I
converted these to Wh/m2 by multiplying by 3.600 and used them to replace
the 1996 data in the IWEC file and saved them as a 2007 file. I do not know
why these radiation levels are only about one tenth of the IWEC's Direct
Normal Radiation. For example, from 7am to 7pm on 18th April, the IWEC data
for 1996 and the Met office data for 2007 are, respectively,

1(b) From page 6 (page 18 of the pdf) of the Auxiliary Documentation the
Direct Horizontal IR radiation is calculated by the weather converter
utility. I found that when I use this utility to get the .epw from the
modified csv file, there is no change in this Direct Horizontal IR radiation
value.

2. Another thing is the units of the Sky Cover from the Met Office are in
Oktas (in eigths). Is it ok if I multiply by 0.8 and use them in the column
for total sky cover in the .epw fille? I presume that the opaque sky cover
is not too relevant.

Any comment and advices are most welcomed. Many thanks for your time.

Ooi.
