[EnergyPlus_Support] Parametric Study and Autosizing?
Dear all,
I have completed a baseline building in EnergyPlus. All of the
equipment in this building was autosized. I plan to model multiple
energy conservation measures using this baseline building. I am
concerned that with each simulation run where I model an energy
conservation measure (add it to the baseline model), the capacity of
the building equipment (boiler, chiller, fan, etc.) will change. Do I
have to hard size the equipment (boiler, chiller, fan, etc.), based on
the values from the baseline model's EIO, for the runs where I model
these measures? Should I expect the "autosized" capacity of the
equipment to change with each run? Or, should I expect the "autosized"
values to remain the same with each run? What is the protocol?
Thanks in advance,
Noel
