[EnergyPlus_Support] Low Temp Radiant Ceiling Panels (Heating)

Dear EnergyPlus support team,

I'm currently modeling a 4-story office building within DesignBuilder
and EnergyPlus v1.4.0.025 - although the questions that I have are
mostly related to EnergyPlus.

The single duct variable volume system supplies cold air through
terminal boxes (w/o reheat). Reheat will occur through radiant
ceiling panels suspended from the perimeter of each story. However,
all floors do not have a suspended ceiling, whereas the suspended
radiant ceiling panels are sandwiched (Aluminum panel, Insulation,
Air Gap, Slab) and require a different type of floor/ceiling
construction on the perimeter.
Thus I figured and through DesignBuilder, I may be able to prepare my
model and include subsurfaces describing the construction of a
ceiling panel at the location where the ceiling panels are actually
installed.
Due to the rather odd geometric shape of each story, I can see
drawbacks in past versions of DesignBuilder&EnergyPlus in modeling
polygonal subsurfaces with odd dimensions and layout - however for
now I'll be required to keep EnergyPlus v1.4.0.025.

To simplify the problem in DesignBuilder, I'd draw a simple
rectangular subsurface corresponding to the actual area (building
plans&specs) that the perimeter reheat would occupy and proceed with
editing the input file with reference of an example file. However, by
doing so I may loose the information of the actual location of the
radiant ceiling panels (perimeter vs. more internal) within the
space.

Now here is the actual question, when modeling an internal heat
source such as suspended reheat ceiling panels, do EnergyPlus's
results differ whether they are located on the perimeter of a zone or
somewhere else on the ceiling?

Any feedback is appreciated,

Sandro
