Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Confusion over Fan in AirFlow Network

Ooi:

It seems the input file does not specify a fan as Zone2WindACFan, so that
the first error message occurs (GetFanIndex: Fan not found=Zone2WindACFan).
In other words, Zone2WindACFan is not listed in fan index. You may define
the fan in the AIRFLOWNETWORK:DISTRIBUTION:COMPONENT CONSTANT VOLUME FAN
object. Since the fan is not listed in the fan index, the prgram can not go
any further.

My suggestion is to disable the AirflowNetwork model first to see whether
you can eliminate the first error or not. The model disablement is to use
the choice of NO MULTIZONE OR DISTRIBUTION in the AirflowNetwork Control
field in the AirflowNetwork Simulation object. If you still have problems,
please upload the file. I will take a look.

By the way, Window AC is not supported for the time being if you use the
choice as MULTIZONE WITH DISTRIBUTION or MULTIZONE WITH DISTRIBUTION ONLY
DURING FAN OPERATION in the AirflowNetwork Control field in the
AirflowNetwork Simulation object

Thanks.

Lixing Gu
