For question 2:  The AirflowNetwork is unable to model a chimney well. Your 
anwser is correct. The main problem is that the relationship between pressure 
and airflow is not well defined, although a crack component may be used when a 
damper is close. The other problem is that no heat source is allowed in the 
AirflowNetwork components.  

For question 3: The AirflowNetwork model is unable to simulate single-side 
ventilation well, because the model uses the same boundary conditions for 
multiple openings at the same side. However, the model is able to handle cross 
vent well.
