There was a problem with the initial IDFEditor that was distributed with EnergyPlus V2.0.
You can get the updated version as described below:


   File        : /Updates/Windows/IDFEditor.exe
   Description : Update to IDF Editor -- solves several run time 
errors for certain numeric fields.  Please download and replace V2.0 
release IDF editor with this one.
