[EnergyPlus_Support] Window with/without surface shading attached

Hi !!
 I'm a beginner in E+ I'm trying to simulate a simple shoebox, with a 
window 8mm thick. I want to compare the difference between a window 
with and without Surface shading Attached. The problem is that, the 
mean air temperature of the zone with shading device is higher, witch 
doesn't make sense. The window is facing north.
