Yanıt: [EnergyPlus_Support] modeling atrium with airflow network

hi,
i modeled an atrium with adjacent zones. i separeted atrium walls into three parts because the adjacent zone wall surface must be equal. you can model airflow via operable doors or windows. if you need more information, i can share my experiences.
  with my best wishes

dear Energy Plus Forum and users,

I am modeling an atrium with significant height.
Scope of the work it is to study ventilation strategies.

I have looked at airflow network and I understand that the results
will be in most of the cases very approximative.

I am wondering what is your experience in dividing the space in to
stacked thermal zones.

In my case I thought that I could divide the space into 4 thermal
zones (every 10 feet) and connect this with "big" cracks.

To allow the model accounting the influence of the solar radiation
that heat the floor, I was thinking about putting virtual horintal
windows between the zones.

In this case, is the radiation considered diffuse after the first zone
(and not direct)?

I would greatly apprecia if different users would like to share their
experience in modeling atria.

thank so much!
Regards

Emanuele
