Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Winter design day and heat recovery, how to?

If you are just doing a winter design day, using Purchased Air, you could model
heat recovery by reducing the outside air flow rate to be 1 minus the heat
recovery effectiveness. For example, if the heat recovery were 100% effective,
then the heating load would be the same as if there was no outside air. If it
is 70% effective, then it is the same as if you had 30% of the total outside
air flow rate with no heat recovery.

Note that purchased air with outside air is only useful if the total flow rate
of purchased air to the zone exceeds the outside air flow rate. If you get
outside air flow warnings from purchased air, then you should use a constant-
flow INFILTRATION object to model the outside air flow and set the PURCHASED
AIR outside air flow rate to zero.
