[EnergyPlus_Support] Duplicate name for SYSTEM SIZING object
Dear EPlus Support,
I have received the error message below and cannot figure out its cause:
Program Version,EnergyPlus 2.1.0.023, 2/15/2008 5:16 PM...
** Severe ** SYSTEM SIZING, duplicate name=SFAN_AH1
** Fatal ** Errors found in getting SYSTEM SIZING input. Preceding
condition causes termination.
My .idf file does not have a SYSTEM SIZING object, but it does use a
COMPACT HVAC:System:Unitary object called "SFan_AH1", and several
COMPACT HVAC:Zone:Unitary objects (one for each of the 29 zones). Each
of the COMPACT HVAC:Zone:Unitary objects refers to "SFan_AH1" as the Air
Handling System Name.
I suspected something was happening when the Compact objects are
expanded, and found that there are actually two SYSTEM SIZING objects in
the .expidf file.
Rather than delete the duplicate without understanding why it got there
in the first place, I want to understand how it got there and how to
make sure it does not recur. Can you help?
