[EnergyPlus_Support] wall thickness for daylight modelling

Hi All
Can anyone tell me how (if at all) E+ deals with wall thickness in terms of
shading with daylight (and I suppose thermal) calculations? The issue is
that if you have a thick wall, around a window, then obviously the thickness
of the wall will shade the window.
