RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Building envelope load 2

Yes, a new set of report variables is being implemented for the next version of E+ that will provide sums for the various load components in the zone air heat balance. One of these will sum surface convection heat gains to the zone air (... if that is what you mean by "building envelope load"). Right now you can report surface convection heat gains for individual surfaces and then sum them up outside of E+.

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] Building envelope load 2

Hi all.

Is there a change that "building envelope load" will be included in
next e+ edition as a "ready to read" output variable?
It is of great importance in the design phase of building to know the
answer to the question:
"how much heat addition or extraction is required to maintain a space
at a constant temperature as the outside weather conditions and
internal activity vary in time and building mass absorbs and release
heat".

Especially for architects and civil engineers who don't do all the
system and plant sizing.

THANK YOU

Ch. Vaitsi
