[EnergyPlus_Support] HEAT EXCHANGER:WATERSIDE ECONOMIZER -> not recovering heat

Dear Support group:

 

We would like to recover heat from the source side of
HeatPump:WaterToWater:EquationFit:Cooling. We have used a HEAT
EXCHANGER:WATERSIDE ECONOMIZER in the integrated mode (plant side in series
with the pump of the DHW loop and the condenser side branch in parallel with
the demand branches of the condenser loop).

 

We were expecting the waterside economizer to preheat the DHW but it is
working in the opposite way: precooling. Engineering reference manual says
that we can use this element in cooling and heating applications but we
don't know how to define that this is a heating application.
