Working with ventilation requires a bit of knowledge about fluid dynamics, though if you get the openings defined well, E+ seems to track pressure-driven flows pretty rigorously. If you want a simpler interface to E+ input, you might try DesignBuilder, which allows you to enter the % open area for any window or door and will generate the airflow network inputs. I don't know how well it does that, and the interface is pretty annoying, but there is a 30-day trial you can try for free. It will generate or export and idf so you can review the inputs and eventually get a feel for the parameters. The E+ ExampleFiles contain a bunch of good sample ventilation models also.
