RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] How to start

Suggest reading the GettingStarted.pdf.  It provides background and tutorials for working with EnergyPlus.

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] How to start

Hello Energy Plus team

This is Sandeep Kulkarni, student from University of Illinois at Chicago.I was just trying to estimate energy use for a particular building at my university. I am using this software for first time so can you please tell me where can I find details about all Class lists under IDF editor. There are almost 50 classes in that and each having 8 to 10 questions.Do I need to fill out all details to obtain the result? I went through all 5 manuals present under help menu but they are quite huge, so can you tell me what all I need to look for quick glance?
I am attaching a screen shot for your convenience.I am really sorry for so many questions.I believe your answers will help me to learn this software much better.

Thank you
Sandeep Kulkarni
