RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] CA Climate Zone 02, 05, 14 Weather Design Conditions

There are no problems with these weather files--just limited design condition data.

In the .STAT file, the weather converter puts in design conditions based on the EPW data.  You can start with that information.

Thanks your quick reply. For the weather files on the website, There is nearly no weather files which belong to climate 02 and 05. Is there any problems with the weather files of these two zones? I would try the method that Ashrae 2005 provide and calculate the design day data based on epw files.

Thanks,

Rongxin

Design day data is provided when it is available from the ASHRAE Fundamental handbook.  For these three climate zones, there is no location specified, so there is no data in the ASHRAE handbook.  Select a location with design conditions in that climate zone that is representative.
