[EnergyPlus_Support] How to input the connections of several pumps and several chillers?
Hi, all. Nice to see you all.
I have a question about the connection methood of several pumps and
several chillers in the plant supply side. That's, as you know, in E+
there are only a pair of connectors in each loop. So, if two or more
than two pumps and chillers have been choosed in the plant, the
question how to connect them has been coming up.
One mothod is that one pump and one chiller form "a BRANCH" in
serial, then all the BRANCH connect as pararrelly. Then, there are a
pair of connectors in the plant supply side, a splitter which inlet
branch is the supply inlet branch and outlet branches are all
the "pump+chiller" branches, and a mixer which inlet branches are all
the "pump+chiller" branches and outlet branch is the supply outside
branch. Of course, this connection can realize in the E+ inout file.
one mothod is that all the pumps form a pararrel connection and all
the chiller form other pararrel connection, then the two pararrel
conncetions link together in serial.
THE PROBLEM IS HERE.
By this way, it would be two pairs of connector, one for pumps and
one for chilers, and that would not be permitted in E+ because only a
pair of connector can be used in a loop. But, in some existing
building and new building, this connection has been used wide.
HOW can I put the seconde connection into E+ input file?
Thanks a lot!
