When you downloaded the energy plus the idf editor must have got downloaded with it , you need to check it out in the option menu  of the main menu of energy plus and energy plus dont have a gui i think u know about that , u can go for google sktech up along with open studio for modelling or u can go for some other softwares like design builder or ecotect (check wether the ecotect is compatible with the latest version )
