[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Help about parametric variations using E+

Hello Marcia,

If you just want to test a set of defined options, maybe really and just changing it one by one, and a good organization of your files/different scenarios.
Also in the documentation I believe there's a description on how to concatenate IDF files, so you could define your objects separately. Or write your own scripts to change the objects (IDF files are just text).
If you're looking at optimization then I suggest you to try the following:
Take a look at GenOpt, I believe it should do just that. http://gundog.lbl.gov/GO/
For ultimate parametric modelling -> Paracloud. http://paraclouding.com/

I don´t know if is possible to do all parametric variations using E+, I wouldn´t like to make the variations/changes one by one. Or whether, it is possible give to the program E + the desire instructions  about parametric variations and obtain all files with the changes (changes automatically generated by E +, not for me one by one).
