This is known issue # 6808 -- it's been listed as such for several releases
and was looked at and determined that it needs more than a simple "bug fix"
to correct.  So it's listed in the "Enhancement List" items for V3.1
release. (UtilityPrograms_2007_03)

Neither of the example file PIU files have node conneciton errors -- you
may need to look more closely if you have them.
