In addition to having the Sketch up Plug in, you must also download EnergyPlus (from the same website where you found Open Studio).  You can then edit the .idf file that the plug in saves (and later take that full IDF into the plug in).

EnergyPlus comes with a complete set of documentation, an "intelligent" editor (IDF Editor) as well as EP-Launch which you can also use to run the simulation.
