Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Refrigeration ?'s

Hi All,

In line with the original question I am wondering if it is possible to model under or over charged refrigeration system performance as it is not uncommon to find AC or HP system with off-optimum refrigerant charge.

I have attempted to estimate the impact of tuning refrigerant charge on AC system performance using MARK V HP Model.

Regards,
Bereket

Dear Scott,

Out of curiousity, why would you want to do that?  No one wants a leak and much effort is expended to avoid them in the first place.  If they do occur, the performance degradation is normally noticed quickly and then it's repaired.

I have a hard time imagining a situation where a leak was present for a year-long (typical modeling) period...
