[EnergyPlus_Support] HVAC electricity is not in agreement with the building loads

I simulated a slab on grade 20mx20mx3m code house (IECC 2006) with 3m high unconditioned attic located in Austin using EnergyPlus 3.1 and DOE-2.1E. The building had DX Cooling system with Heat Pump. For ground coupled heat transfer calculations, I used Winkelmann's method for DOE-2 runs and slab.exe utility for EnergyPlus runs. I uploaded the input and output files of both DOE-2 & EnergyPlus to the support group's website under Files. In the results.xls file, you will see that  DOE-2 calculted two times higher cooling load and 28% lower heating load compared to EnergyPlus. I also paid attention to using the same performance curves for the heating and cooling coils to calculate the annual HVAC electricity consumption. However, when we look at the HVAC electricity consumption, we see that DOE-2 and EnergyPlus calculates very close annual electricity consumptions for heating, cooling, fan and total HVAC electricity. Could you help me understand why this inconsistency is happening? What am I missing?

Thanks in advance for your reply,
SA
