I generathe idf file using EnergyPlus Example File Generator. Apparantly it is setup such that supply fan is modeled as a constant volume fan. In residential buildings the fan turns on/off as per demand. So I changed the fan type from Fan:ConstantVolume to Fan:OnOff. But I got fatal effor due to a Severe error ** Invalid Air Loop Component Type = "FAN:ONOFF". What might be the reason?
Is there an example idf file with simple HVAC system(one fan, one cooling coil, one heating coil and one zone) where fan turns on/off as per demand and supply air temperature is fixed for heating and cooling mode?
