There is no specific limit -- but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try to simplify the geometry, etc.  With the integrated heat balance solution, it literally solves all the heat transfer surfaces in each time step.  More surfaces mean slower execution.

Also, don't make your first building the most complex one.
