Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Controlling Radiant Floor With Hybrid Ventilation Availability Manager

Chris:

The EnergyPlus radiant system model is only controlled by the zone thermostat and the radiant system's own controls.  I do not believe that your availability manager settings for hybrid ventilation will have any impact on that.

The AvailabilityManager:HybridVentilation object description in the InputOutputReference says:

If the availability manager determines that conditions are favorable for natural ventilation, then the HVAC system (AirLoopHVAC) is disabled and the "opening" objects or ventilation/mixing objects are able to operate based on the controls specified for those objects.

Does this mean if I am using displacement ventilation and radiant floor cooling to condition a space, the AvailabilityManager:HybridVentilation object will only be able to turn off the displacement ventilation since it has an AirLoopHVAC object and the radiant system does not?

Thanks,
Chris
