[EnergyPlus_Support] Zone and System Sizing, Rookie question

I apologize in advance for the VERY rookie question. There will be more rookie questions and I'm sorry. Please just ignore them if they annoy you.

My parameters:
I'm using version 4

Question 1:
The defaults for zone and system sizing in the SimulationControl area are 'no'. If I'm trying to model a building that already exists should I leave them as 'no'. I guess I don't understand what these parameters do. I did read the input/output manual. The closest area to read about this was the Timestep on page 56. They don't go into great detail about this (which probably means that they think I should know what it means).

Question 2:
Anyway, does a 'yes' answer for zone sizing calculation mean that I want e+ to give me the correct hvac sizing for the zone(s) I have delineated?

Question 3:
I am not sure I understand the difference between zone and system sizing.

Again, I'm sorry for the extremely basic questions.

Patricia
