Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] expandobjects

If you are on Windows 7, you need to download updates for Windows 7 programs from the helpdesk:
The full update of files is here:
http://energyplus.helpserve.com/staff/index.php?_m=downloads&_a=editfile&downloaditemid=62

Update 1 consists of files to fix some problems experienced by Windows 7 users as well as revised weather data and a weather processing file. The weather data should be updated by Mac, Windows and Linux users. The weather processing file should be updated by all Windows users. The Windows 7 updates are optional for users of Windows XP and Vista. The entire set of changes can be downloaded in a single zip file (the first file shown below) which should be extracted in the EnergyPlus directory or else individual files can be downloaded.

Update-01-EnergyPlusV4-0-0.zip

The files need to be extracted from the ZIP in the directory containing EnergyPlus (by default EnergyPlusV4-0-0) by any program that opens ZIP files. Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 can perform this function without added software by right clicking on the ZIP file and selecting "extract all" and place the files into the EnergyPlus directory. As the files are extracted, you should be prompted to replace existing files in existing folders, answer yes to replace. If you are not prompted to replace, the files have probably not been extracted to the proper location.

The zip file contains:
If ExpandObjects crashed -- that's a different problem and you need to direct your file to the helpdesk at:
