Hi,
I am trying to calculate the influence of reflected solar beam from on part of the facade to solar PV panels located so that they are reached by reflected beams.
However, it seems that when solar beams first reach an external wall, would it be covered with metal, the beam energy is transformed into diffuse energy. So I guess from there it is emitted in all directions unlike a distinct reflected beam would do.
I would like to check that point because the sensitivity of my results to the reflection coefficient is much weaker than I expected (variation of solar PV output of only 6 to 8% according to orientation while varying the reflection coefficient from 0.1 to 1).
My guess is that only a small part of the incident beam is then reflected to the PV panel (view factor related).
Am I right? And is there a way to model properly this configuration? Because if I install metal panels to reflect solar beams it certainly doesn't totally change into diffuse...
Thank you very much for the help!
BR,
Aymeric
