I am a novice E+ 3.1 user and have run into difficulties with a 1500sqm model of conditioned office space from DesignBuilder to generate total cooling loads for the AHU. The reason I would like to use E+ instead of DesignBuilder is that I believe I can apply a yearly schedule to slatted blinds based on the AUS-Melbourne RMY epw. file.
The error message I think that is causing the problem is "Check Sizing:Zone and ZoneControl:Thermostat inputs", but these inputs seem to correspond to the Example template.
I have checked that the expanded idf has cooling design air flow rate be set to 0.
Would the fact that not all my zones are enclosed be working against me? Before I convert all the virtual partitions (created in DesignBuilder) back to walls, which is causing the entered volume to be significantly larger than the calculated volume, is there anything else I should be looking to change between the Design Builder compact.idf and the 5ZoneVAVPowered HVAC template?
Would be great to get this working.
