There is an example file called GeneratorswithPV.idf that demonstrates use of the input objects.

You'll need to do a bit of solar engineering to get from nominal rated wattage to the input sufficient to describe the array.  These sort of power ratings are typically based on 1000 W/m2 of incident solar.  If you have a nominal conversion efficiency,  you can back out the total module area needed.  The details of the PV module's performance can be described using one of three different options with increasing complexity (simple, one-diode, Sandia models).

I need help modeling Photovoltaic.



I'm trying to module PV on a 2,000sf residence. I need to module it at 4 different wattage levels, 11w, 7w, 5, etc. I've been through the input output manual several times now and it just isn't making any since. Any guidance is greatly appreciated.
