For some thermal bridges (ie studs in a frame construction) you can use the ?composite walls constructions? see pag 154 in I/O reference
For linear thermal bridges (ie intersection between floor and façade) an alternative way is introducing ?small? sub-surfaces (type door) having the same thermal transmision than you can calculate with a 2D (or 3D) model.
It will be great if on E+ was possible to include directly lengths with its linear thermal transmittance.

Dear All,
Just a question: how is EnergyPlus able to take in account thermal bridging?
I read trough the reference guide that for example for windows there is a coefficient to consider different conductance properties between the center of the pane and the area close to the external frame.
Are there any calculation that takes this in account when 2 different assembly are attached? what could be a good way to consider both geometric and thermal bridging.
