I have a 64-bit Windows PC as well. When I first got it,
I did a test of a small-size building using the regular 32-bit version and a
test 64-bit version of EnergyPlus. There was little difference in
execution time (<10%). From: EnergyPlus_Support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:EnergyPlus_Support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Danny Bishop Sent: Monday, December 28, 2009 12:37 AM To: EnergyPlus_Support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] 64 bit Windows 7
Hi All I have just
bought myself a nice new mobile workstation running windows 64 bit with 8Gb ram.
I have installed Design Builder, and found that DB, and the DB initiated E+
simulation is running at 32 bit (as represented in windows task manager). I am
quite disappointed as the ram is not being utilised. Can anyone tell
me how to run these in 64 bit? Thanks Danny
