RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] A large number of cooling unmet load hours

This sort of thing is usually caused by a mismatch between the parameters used in Sizing:* objects and how the systems actually run during operation.  The HVAC controls need to be consistent with the Sizing inputs.  For example, check that the node temperatures on the supply deck agree with what is used in the Sizing:Zone design supply air temperature.

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] A large number of cooling unmet load hours

Hello everyone,

I am simulating an office building with VAV with Reheat. I am getting a large number of unmet cooling load hours. The heating is fine. I am running it for Chicago weather.

TIME COOLING SETPOINT NOT MET {HOURS NON-ZERO} [HOURS]

I am using autosize options. My understanding was that it I use autosize options, the systems would be sized to meet the loads. How should I diagnose this - i.e. which parameters to look at etc..

I help will be very much appreciated...

John
