[EnergyPlus_Support] RE: kulandhaivel muthusamy



Designbuilder Beta versions exist already that supply a list with with the export csv option matching the numbers to the names in DB. Everytime you run a simulation those numbers in e+ will change. DB did this deliberately, you can be sure. You may even find out why on the forum for DB or email the DB support, but I'm sure there's a good reason.

Further DB fills in the nessasary fields for what you specified in DB. Not all field in e+ must be filled out. Notice that only e+ HVACTemplate objects are possible to imput via DB when using the "Compact HVAC" modelling option. The other option in DB is "Simple HVAC" which outputs using the IdealAirLoads objects in e+.

These are both limited in what they can do and only one HVAC system per building is currently definable from the DB user interface. DB are currently working on a "HVAC configurator" which hopefully we'll see before the end of the year.

At the moment you'll have to learn the inner workings of e+ to configure your HVAC to exactly suite your needs. That being said, using the correct assumptions one can do very much using the simple systems available.
