My experience with open studio was not good, lots lots of bugs. I switched  to Ecotect  first, and it was away  away ...better but still not perfect, then I switched to Design Builder which I found very good. However, even with Design Builder the system part is still very disappointing.

Reza,

Why do you use Ecotect, while there is OpenStudio that is available for free?
Is it because you are translating your model from Revit ==> Ecotect ==> EPlus ?
Is the translation from Revit to Ecotect so clean that you do not want to consider OpenStudio?

Please share your experience because many people can learn from that.

Thanks,

Ery

Dear Sotirs,

Can you tell us why do you need version 4 specifically? You can download v5 for free, and you will get a new password for that too.

If you have IDF files in version 4, you can easily translate that to version 5. Thats really easy. I do not see any other reason why you still want to use v4. In fact, you can have more features with running v5.

Vaggelis, as Linda said, you MAY NOT send the previous version. Why would you want to do that anyway?

Thanks,

Ery

Dear list,

I really need a previous version of energy plus. Specifically i need "EnergyPlus Version 4.0.0 Build 024 for Windows" I have the password since I have done the installation previously but i have lost the original .exe file. It is necessary in order to proceed with a simulation in my new computer.

If someone has it, can he please send it to me.

Thank you in advance

Sotirs
