RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Air Condition

Hi, Pablo

I think you have also asked about A, B zones un-controlled with air conditioning , and C Zone with thermostat but no air conditioning.

If this is a real system, you may have a system with a duct to three zones.  Specify three air terminal for air distribution, uncontrolled.  Open the two dampers to A and B zones and shut off the damper to C zone. This can be done in EPlus by specifying the C zone thermostat as the master, and specify the air flow 0.01 for zone C, 0.495,  0.495 for zones A and B.  A and B zones will be cooled or heated to the limit of the supply temperature, zone C will probably remain near the environment temperature bexause only 100% of the capacity is directed to this zone.

If you want to use the environment temperature to control the system, you can use the Outside Air manager directly to control the system availability.

For the two systems in one room with two thermostat control, you can divide the room into two zone with air as partition, so that only one thermostat and one system is one zone..  There will be heat flow across the partition, but no direct air flow.  You may use cross mixing to simulate air flow.

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] Air Condition

Hi. I have a simulation where the area is heated with two air conditioning controls and thermostats are in the area. when I try to declare and define teams in the area, to simulate PD-launch gives the following error: ** ** Severe Sizing: Zone Name, name = ZONE3_NIVEL3 duplicate.

thank you very much
