Energyplus does not yet have HVACTemplates for all equipment types. For 
those equipment that cannot be configured using HVACTemplate, you must 
run the simulation first without the solar collectors. When you run this 
simulation the HVACTemplates will be "expanded" into actual EnergyPlus 
objects. Then copy the *.expidf file to a new name.idf. Then edit this 
file and add the solar collector loop "by hand", meaning to add the 
solar collector objects and associated plant loop objects to the new 
name.idf.file.
